Early in the year 2009, songs began to come to me which contained the essense of orchestral music, with an eastern or Arabian flavor, but with a definite rock sound. Lyrics came with these songs, and they practically wrote themselves, telling stories about travel through time and to other places in history, places which are unknown to us.
The lyrics of these songs developed into the story of Crystal Dreams, a young woman who had found an antique mirror and discovered that she was able to pass through it into other realms of existance, most particularly a specific location unknown to our own history, set in time during the 1400's.
Soon, the sound of a choral ensemble joined the other sounds, and I formed the 'Callister Choral Ensemble' to vocally reproduce these passages.
Eventually, the lyrics developed into a trilogy of novels, and work continues on more books as the tale of Crystal Dreams and her daughter Aligail unfolds.
The music also continued to develop, as the characters visited other periods in time, such as the 1940's and late 1960's. The second GODI CD contains some passages that reflect these periods in our history.

The first CD features the vocals of Crystal Dreams, the main character in the trilogy of novels. However, during the third novel, a daughter was born, named Aligail, who eventually sang on the second CD.
Another vocalist was brought in to sing the role of Aligail, as this tale of time-travel and rock music evolved. The second CD features the voice of Aligail as she takes up the task of continuing where Crystal left off.
And so, with the core rock group, the symphonic orchestrations, and the voices of the Callister Choral Ensemble, the music progresses, as we work in the studio to complete the second CD.
I feel very blessed to be channeling this amazing story, told through the books I have been writing, and through the music I have been composing, and finally alive through the imagery and vocal talents of our two lead vocalists.
I also wish to thank Marlene Baker, whom I love beyond measure, and who stands behind all I take on, and is the first person who taught me to smile. Her inspiration and guidance have also helped to shape the stories, imagery and music that is GODI.
